GALLERY U BOUTIQUE HOSTS FIRST OF TWO
EXHIBITIONS OF WORKS BY NEW JERSEY PHOTOGRAPHY FORUM

Gallery U Boutique in Westfield is proud to host the first of two exhibitions of work by members of the New Jersey Photography Forum. This first exhibition will highlight abstract photography.

The New Jersey Photography Forum, started in 1995, is a group of professional fine art photography artists. The Forum provides exhibition opportunities and a chance for members to gather and talk about their work. The Forum has grown over the years to become the largest and most recognized group of fine art exhibiting photographers in New Jersey.

Participating photographers include Thomas Hart (Bayonne), Parvathi Kumar (Bridgewater), Neil Larsen (Old Bridge), Lane Lewis (Gladstone), Charlann Meluso (Berkeley Heights), Charles Miller (Ringoes), Kathleen Nademus (Fords), Nancy Ori (Berkeley Heights), Lisa Redburn (Montclair), Phyllis Raffelson (Cliffside Park), Ken Roberts (Union), Tom Stillman (South Plainfield), and Heidi Sussman (West Orange).  An opening reception will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015, from 6-8 PM. All are welcome. The exhibition will be on display until March 2, 2015.

Since their opening in September 2013, Gallery U Boutique has quickly positioned itself as an arts resource for the Westfield and surrounding communities by holding monthly art exhibits that focus on the talents of local artists, as well as showcasing original unique merchandise created by local artisans.

CONTEMPORARY ART GROUP (CAG) exhibition

Gallery U is beginning 2015 with a  special exhibition of artwork by members of the Contemporary Art Group (CAG). Begun as a special interest group within the Westfield Art Association, the Contemporary Art Group re-defined “contemporary” to mean “alive and currently producing art.” The CAG is a collegial organization of working artists who meet on a regular basis to advance their art interests. They are a supportive group where there is mutual respect among members, where members share ideas, provide information about exhibit opportunities, and describe their own artistic development.

This exhibition includes 14 pieces of art of various mediums and styles and will be on display through February 2, 2015.
